Our Fundraisers


We aim to keep annual membership dues as low as possible so that everyone can participate in CIBA activities. CIBA meetings are open to the public and we do not charge a fee to attend regular membership meetings.


Winter Seminar

We also host a Winter Seminar each March, which may include a small registration fee to help covers costs and provide lunch and break snacks.


Spring Auction

Our primary fundraiser is an annual auction of new and used beekeeping equipment and other beekeeping-associated books and paraphernalia on the third Saturday of April. Anyone can consign or donate equipment for sale.  While our auctions are typically face-to-face events, during the pandemic, in 2021, we hosted an online auction.  


Food also is sold during this day-long event; profits from food sales typically fund our queen-ambassador program.
