Our Fundraisers

Membership

We aim to keep annual membership dues as low as possible so that everyone can participate in CIBA activities. We do not charge a fee to attend membership meetings.

 

Winter Seminar

We also host a Winter Seminar each January, which may include a small registration fee to help cover costs.

 

Spring Auction

Our primary fundraiser is an annual auction of new and used beekeeping equipment and other beekeeping-associated books and paraphernalia on the third Saturday of April. Anyone can consign or donate equipment for sale.  While our auctions are typically face-to-face events, during the pandemic, in 2021, we hosted an online auction.  

 

Food also is sold during this day-long event; profits from food sales typically fund our queen-ambassador program.
